Being a DJ, means music is a massive part of what we do, so today we are going to take a look at some of the stuff compiled by #DJEP.
DJEP or DJ event planner as it's more commonly known is one of the software packages we use to manage bookings and events with clients through our webpage. Again our friends at DJEP have kindly compiled the top requests from the last 12 months, you can have a look at the whole TOP 200 and others at this link www.djeventplanner.com/mostrequesteduk.htm.
So let's look at some of the Top 200 here first. We have gone through and picked what we think is the most popular by client request, and we will try give honest thoughts on each.
Working down from 200 in this poll it has taken to 186 to find a track we have played more than once in the last 12 months, Incomes Little Mix with Shout out to my ex. This song is now a couple of years old but still ever popular with the younger guests at events, mainly because of it's poppy atmospheric anthem vibe.
Coming down the list to 147 a personal favourite and in my personal opinion could be in the top 10 tracks of all time, Goo Goo Dolls with Iris For me it is just a brilliant song, that allows you a dance with your partner towards the end of the night, that said it has been ever popular as 1st dance this last 12 months,
Down at 146 is a Stalwart of the 90's dance scene Haddaway - What is love, it has to be up there with The Time Frequency and the likes.
The last couple of years have seen some classics being remastered and returning to high in the the charts. None more so than 136 on the list, Daryl Hall & John Oates with You make my dreams where it has featured in a number of blockbuster movies and various commercials over the globe, this has to be one of lifes feel good tunes, that always lift the mood.
We then have an absolute disco classic for the main man Barry White with You're the first, The last, My Everything. Another monumental classic that you would struggle not to hear at a party or wedding reception.
2018 and 2019 has seen a massive return to the forefront for the likes of the Spice Girls, Take That & Kylie Minogue, in at 129 on the list we find the classic Take That cover of Relight My Fire Featuring Lulu going all the way back to 1993, it's definetly in there with Kylie's Better The Devil You Know for filling the dancefloor and getting the crowds singing along.
Again quite shocked to see how far down the list Erasure & A Little Respect has ranked coming in at 74 followed closely by Candi Staton & Young Hearts Run Free at 73. Both these tracks are massive in their own rights and again you will be hard pushed to find a Wedding or Party where they don't feature. Even doing 18th Birthday parties we have "Kids" desperate to party to A Little Respect.
So we are down to number 70 in the Chart and as it's Abba i think we will leave it there for now, Just like Abba should have been. As a DJ i personal can't stand Abba but still regularly play Does your mother Know as its such a popular track, unfortunately that didn't make the Top 200 but Mamma Mia slipped in at number 70.
Check Back soon for the rest of the last decade and our thoughts.
Thanks for Visiting

How are we all doing gang?
Been a mental mad start to the year, lots of fresh enquiries every day, lots of client meetings, lots of event preperation and the really nitty gritty work behind the scenes our clients don't get to see. From maintaining and testing equipment, to marketing and meeting clients and everything in between including office tea boy!!
We rocked into the office on Wednesday to our awesome friends at https://threebestrated.co.uk/ confirming for the second year running we have for the 2nd year running we have been audited by them and awarded one of the TOP 3 Professional DJ spots covering Falkirk and surrounding areas.
To get it last year was brilliant but to get it this year speaks volumes for the effort myself and my team put in to ensure standards are maintained.
This is a Great award as its not based on investment like many awards covering the professional sectors, This award is based on the Auditing of a Business, looking at the following areas:-
-Business Hours (flexibility to the clients)
-Business Images (Pictures we display are true and honest representations of our events)
-Current and up to date Evaluations & Reviews (All our reviews are given by out clients)
-Experience and services in our field
there are a few others that look at business practices too.
We as a company are mega proud of what we have achieved and as a manager i can't thank my team enough for the effort and support throughout the last 12 months, here is to the next 12.
Keep it real folks.
Thanks for the support.
